چکیده
The current research study is aimed at studying the impact of sodium chloride on performance semi-arid soils in Najran area Saudi Arabia. Experimental work has been undertaken to investigate how adding salt soil collected affects boundaries Atterberg, compaction characteristics, California bearing ratio, and shear strength. All testing was conducted samples from different zones varying depths 1.5, 3, 4.5 m along profiles. were analyzed individually then compared with same mixed NaCl percentages 5, 10, 20% by weight dry soil. Using advanced techniques, such as scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive x-ray analysis, X-ray diffraction stabilization process examined. findings revealed that significantly impacts geotechnical characteristics soils. maximum density increased 1.995, 1.93, 1.96 2.02, 1.99, 2.03 g/cm 3 , optimal water content decreased 9.47, 13.7, 11.29 7.01, 9.58%, 8.09% added various depths, respectively. Shear resistance parameters improved NaCl, where cohesion 0.1333, 0.0872, 0.0533 0.1843, 0.1034, 0.0372 kg/cm 2 angle internal friction 24°, 25.5°, 29° 27.8°, 30°, 33°, liquid plastic limits and, turn, plasticity index reduced percentage increased. Furthermore, ratio reached more than 50%. As a result, it established an excellent stabilizer, especially concentration, might be used sub-base substance highway construction.

Alkhurma virus is a flavivirus, discovered in 1994 in a person who died of hemorrhagic fever after slaughtering a sheep from the city of Alkhurma, Saudi Arabia. Since then, several cases of Alkhurma hemorrhagic fever (ALKHF), with fatality rates up to 25%, have been documented. From January 1, 2006, through April 1, 2009, active disease surveillance and serologic testing of household contacts i...

A total of 6684 sera were initially screened for syphilis by the Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) test and the Treponema pallidum haemagglutination assay (TPHA). Reactive sera from either or both these tests were tested for confirmation by the fluorescent treponemal antibody-absorbed (FTA-ABS) test. VDRL biological false positive reactors were detected in 0.5% of the total sera exami...

متن کاملGeotechnical Aspects of Light Structures on Expansive Soils
The geotechnical behaviour of expansive clay soils is investigated by looking into the geomorphologic, geological and climatic conditions and mineralogical composition of the soils in the study area. The geotechnical results are linked with the performance of the foundation as well as structures. Since swell potential and swell pressure are key properties of expansive soils, the swell parameter...
